Prosoniq Releases VuvuX for Mac: Free Vuvuzela Filtering PlugIn
Prosoniq is proud to announce the world’s first realtime Vuvuzela filtering plug in based on sonicWORX’ audio de-mixing technology. This technology allows separating components without using aggressive notch filters, leaving the background unaltered. VuvuX is a free AudioUnit plug in that suppresses the noise created by the South African trumpet called “Vuvuzela” in realtime without affecting the audio commentary or the stadium atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy a noise-free World Cup 2010. Prosoniq sonicWORX • Isolate Now Shipping
During our extended testing phase of sonicWORX Pro it has become clear that there are two groups of potential sonicWORX users: mastering engineers interested in applying subtle change to their final mix, and musicians who want to extract vocals from songs in order to do a remix. We’re very happy to announce that we have developed a scaled-down version of Pro that we’re going to ship in May 2010. sonicWORX Isolate is designed for in-mix editing and specifically vocal extraction and it comes with all the tools you need to reverse engineer your favorite piece of music. A range of manual and computer-aided pattern recognition and tracking tools help you with editing and the suppression of musical interference. Isolate does not have the mastering capabilities such as surround support, de-clicking, de-reverberation and support for 96kHz sample rates. Plug-In Updates Announced for Fall 2010
Good news for all users of our RTAS and VST plug ins: new versions of our RTAS and VST products as well as new AudioUnit versions are expected to be available at the end of 2010. Along with its Windows products, Magenta and Rayverb have been discontinued in June 2009. They will eventually become part of a different product in the course of this and the following year. We regret not being able to deliver the much needed Intel updates earlier, but there have been quite a lot of changes in the VST and RTAS SDK so we decided to redesign them from the ground up rather than to amend existing (mostly Carbon and legacy MacOS 9) code. More information on product roadmap and feature set will become available in summer 2010.

Bold New Directions
In 2008 Prosoniq has undergone considerable internal restructuring that in the long term enables us to better create and support products based on our novel analysis and resynthesis technologies. Computational limitations of yesterday’s desktop computers and existing long term contracts had prevented us from marketing some of our technologies as products for end users before the year 2009. Starting out with sonicWORX • Pro there will be many new and exciting products over the years to come. Watch this space for more information and make sure you check back often to find out about our latest developments.
